By the love of these arms will you ever be bound?

O sword, will ever a girl be your sheath?

 

Not a sheath but a wound am I

If you leave me, under no man will I lie

But only under the ground."

You learned to weep;

But now, my dear,

There is no tear,

 For you have learned to sleep.
