When Mother came to Sri Aurobindo's room at night, she handed him a slip of paper on which was written:

Rs. 2,000 for milk per month.

Rs. 8,000 for grains etc.

Then she remarked: “You see, how much is our expense!”

Sri Aurobindo: “Oh, oh!”
