...au sein du silence et de l'ombre, brûle la lampe qui ne s'éteint point, le feu de l'ardente aspiration: Te connaitre et Te vivre intégralement.

... in the heart of the shadow, in the bosom of the silence burns the lamp that can never be extinguished, the fire of an ardent aspiration to know Thee and totally to live Thee.

न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावकः।
यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम ॥६॥

na tadbhāsayate sūryo na śaśāṅko na pāvakaḥ,
yadgatvā na nivartante taddhāma paramaṁ mama.6

There we find the timeless being which is not illumined by sun or moon or fire (but is itself the light of the presence of the eternal Purusha); having gone thither they return not; that is the highest eternal status of My Being.

Narayana is all this.
Narayana is beyond the highest Brahman.
Narayana is the highest Brahman.
Narayana is in front.
Narayana is in beyond.

पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौ।
जीवनं सर्वभूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु ॥९॥
बीजं मां सर्वभूतानां विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम्।
बुद्धिर्बुद्धिमतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम् ॥१०॥

puṇyo gandhaḥ pṛthivyāṁ ca tejaścāsmi vibhāvasau,
jīvanaṁ sarvabhūteṣu tapaścāsmi tapasviṣu.9
bījaṁ māṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ viddhi pārtha sanātanam,
buddhirbuddhimatāmasmi tejastejasvināmaham.10

I am pure scent in earth and energy of light in fire; I am life in all existences, I am the ascetic force of those who do askesis.

Know me to be the eternal seed of all existences, O son of Pritha. I am the intelligence of the intelligent, the energy of the energetic.

prasīda deveśa samrāṭ maheśvara,

prasīda deveśa sadā parastāt.

Be gracious O Lord of the Gods, O monarch, the Great Lord.
Be gracious O Lord of the Gods, the abode of the universe.
Be gracious O Lord of the Gods, who is ever beyond.

यदादित्यगतं तेजो जगद् भासयतेऽखिलम्।
यच्चन्द्रमसि यच्चाग्नौ तत्तेजो विद्धि मामकम् ॥१२॥
गामाविश्य च भूतानि धारयाम्यहमोजसा।
पुष्णामि चौषधीः सर्वाः सोमो भूत्वा रसात्मकः ॥१३॥

yadādityagataṁ tejo jagad bhāsayate’khilam,
yaccandramasi yaccāgnau tattejo viddhi māmakam.12
gāmāviśya ca bhūtāni dhārayāmyahamojasā,
puṣṇāmi cauṣadhiḥ sarvāḥ somo bhūtvā rasātmakaḥ.13

The light of the sun that illumines all this world, that which is in the moon and in fire, that light know as from Me.

I have entered into this form of earth (and am the spirit of its material force) and sustain by My might these multitudes. I am the godhead of Soma who by the rasa (the sap in the earth-mother) nourishes all plants and trees.
