Physical description:
Large mildly fragrant flowers in various shades of light pink to reddish violet, with five irregular separated petals, the upper three slightly recurved, the central petal with a more deeply coloured splash, and the two lower slightly larger and more horizontally spreading - three prominent sharply recurved stamens arise from the centre - borne in few-flowered racemes. A small to medium-sized tree.
