FAQ

What is the purpose of "Auto-bookmarks"?

The "Auto-bookmarks" feature is designed to provide an ebook-reader like experience by automatically bookmarking the last read page. This helps you stop-start, continue your reading just as you would in an e-reader.

How does "Auto-bookmarks" work?

Once the "Reader-view" detects that you are "reading" a Book chapter, it automatically starts bookmarking the last read page. The book may then appear in your "Auto-bookmarks" list. Similarly, it automatically clears the bookmark once you reach the last page of a chapter.

Does "Auto-bookmarks" work on all books in the eLibrary?

Since the "Auto-bookmarks" feature is based on the last read page, it works only on web-based books with page numbers. In other words, "Auto-bookmarks" will NOT apply to the following:
> Books without page numbers
> PDF-based books

Where is the "Auto-bookmarks" data stored?

All data related to "Auto-bookmarks" in stored in "LocalStorage" i.e. locally on your device by your browser.

Is "Auto-bookmarks" supported on my device?

The "Auto-bookmarks" feature is expected to work in any modern device. It has been tested on various combinations of modern browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox and OS like Android, iOS, Windows, Mac etc. However there may be certain devices or combinations where it does not work. In case of issues, please contact us.

I opened a Book chapter in Reader-view but the book does not show up in my "Auto-bookmarks" list?

The Reader-view includes a book in "Auto-bookmarks" only after it detects that you are "reading", which is typically after you have spent ~60 seconds or more on the same Book chapter.

I was reading a Book chapter in Reader-view but now it has disappeared from my "Auto-bookmarks" list?

Whilst "reading" a Book chapter, once you reach the end of chapter i.e. the last page in that chapter, it is considered as completion of reading and the bookmark is automatically cleared.

Can I read multiple chapters of the same book at the same time?

You may "read" multiple chapters concurrently, but only one chapter per book (i.e. the last read chapter) is considered for the "Auto-bookmarks" feature.

Can I read multiple books at the same time?

Yes. "Auto-bookmarks" list includes all the books that you are "reading" concurrently.
