Prayer

Thou wilt reign over all the earth with Thy sovereign love, and mthe consciousness of men will be full of the light of Thy serenity.

तदेवाग्निस्तदादित्यस्तद् वायुस्तदु चन्द्रमाः।
तदेव शुक्रं तद् ब्रह्म तदापस्तत्प्रजापतिः॥२॥

tadevāgnistadādityastad vāyustadu candramāḥ,
tadeva śukraṁ tad brahma tadāpastatprajāpatiḥ.2

God is fire that burneth and the Sun in heaven and the Wind that bloweth: He too is the Moon. His is the seed and Brahma and the waters and He is Prajapati, the Father of his peoples.

मित्रस्य चक्षुषा समीक्षामहे ॥१८॥

dṛte dṛṁha mā mitrasya mā cakṣuṣā
sarvāṇi bhūtāni samīkṣantām,
mitrasyāhaṁ cakṣuṣā sarvāṇi bhūtāni samīkṣe,
mitrasya cakṣuṣā samīkṣāmahe. 18

Firm thou art, make me firm. For me may they with the eye of Mitra look at all beings. May I with the eye of Mitra look at all beings. May we with the eye of Mitra look at all beings.

om āyātu varadā devi akṣarabrahmasammitam,
gāyatrī chandasāṁ mātā idaṁ brahma juṣasva naḥ. 58
om ojo'si saho'si balamasi bhrājo'si
devānāṁ dhāma nāmāsi viśvamasi viśvāyuḥ
sarvamasi sarvāyuḥ abhibhūrom. 59
om āgaccha varade devi japye me sannidhā bhava,
gāyantaṁ trāyase yasmād gāyatri tvamataḥ smṛtā. 60

Om. Manifest Thyself o Goddess, the giver of boons, the knower of the immutable Brahman and the Mother of Gayatri Rhythms to teach us about Brahman.

Om. Thou art Ojas; Thou art Strength; Thou art Brightness; Thou art the Force of the Gods; Thou art the Universe and the Longevity of the Universe; Thou art All as also the Longevity of All; Thou art the Destroyer of evils.

Om. Manifest Thyself O Goddess, the giver of Boons and join me in Japa. Thou art Gayatri, who deliverest us who sing.

Om Brahman, the material World, the World of various Becomings, the Mind, the Waters of consciousness, the Light, Delight and Immortality.

ॐ नीलोत्पलदलश्यामां भुजगभरणोज्ज्वलाम्।
शङ्खचक्रगदाधरां देवीं वरदां भयनाशिनीम्॥

om nīlotpaladalaśyāmāṁ bhujagabharaṇojjvalām,
śaṅkhacakragadādharāṁ devīṁ varadāṁ bhayanāśinīm.

Om. O Thou Dark as the petal of blue lotus, wearing a bright Snake as garland and holding Conch, Discus and Club, the Giver of Boons and the Destroyer of Fear.
