“Kumarasambhavam”

Pujalal was reported to have said that some critics do not consider the later cantos of Kalidasa's Kumarasambhavam (“Birth of the War-God”) to be his own.

Sri Aurobindo: “They say so because these cantos are erotic But they are certainly Kalidasa's; that is my opinion. Poetically An are on the same level as the others but they seem inferior because they may be still in draft form; he may have had no time to correct them.”1
