A Cloudy Dawn

GREY skies : the limb of ocean olive-green ;

While wind-blown plumes of coco-palm are seen

In silhouette against the sea and sky.

The jet-black birds weave with their raucous cry

Intricate patterns through the sunless air.

Through smouldering shroud grown momently more clear,

A phantom sun makes gestures to appear.
