TO drop through a hole in the sky -

Out of Space,

Beyond all distance reckoned by

Our earthly race.

Into forgotten sea

Of backward time

Dive and swirl down unerringly

To a fairer clime,—

Finding some deep sea-cave,

There to abide

Till the last buffet and foam-wan wave

Of Time subside.
